Luanne Smulsky,
Senior Proposal Writer
Ms. Smulsky has more
than 15 years’ experience writing, editing,
and copyediting, and has served as a
proposal manager and coordinator for
multi-million dollar proposals. Ms. Smulsky
has extensive proposal experience in the
transportation, water, wastewater, and other
critical infrastructure industries.
Most recently, Luanne
Smulsky completed a technical proposal
writing assignment for a private client
pursuing a federal contract with
NASA. Ms.
Smulsky's ability to quickly process and
covey complex concepts helped the proposal
team and the client win the $1.2 billion
dollar contract.
In addition to
proposals, Ms. Smulsky has worked on a wide
variety of documentation: corporate
marketing materials, technical operation
manuals, national manuals for leading
associations, and client-focused
newsletters. In addition, she has developed
copy for websites and other online mediums.
Over the years, she’s managed teams of
graphic artists, word processors, and
administrative staff to produce high-quality
materials on time. She’s expert in grammar
and syntax, simplifying complex text,
editing for consistency and one-voice when
required, and copyediting to ensure
error-free product.
Ms. Smulsky holds a
M.A., in Applied Sociology/Criminology from
the University of Massachusetts and a B.A.
in Psychology/English from College of the
